Perception of contemporaneity
Location: The Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Russia.
Total area: 590 sq.m./6350,71 sq.ft.
Date: design completed.
Team: David Merdenov, Anastasia Astakhova.

The objective of the architectural concept is to create a spacious, functional and at the same time cozy country house where contemporary luxury is combined with the comfort of everyday life.

The configuration of the house is complex and multifaceted. The main feature of the project is the differences in levels, which set the dynamics of the appearance. A variety of materials are used in the decoration — Roman brick, natural wood, glass. The combination of shades and textures of the exterior organically fits the building into the environment. The house looks natural in the natural landscape. Thanks to the ‘play of differences’, a smooth increase in the vertical and extensive panoramic glazing, the house does not look heavy and massive. Floating roofs with light finishes and translucent glass inserts add lightness to the building.

Планировка

The layout provides scenarios for the life of a large family. The building consists of three multi-level blocks. The left block is two-storey. It houses technical rooms, a study, three private bedrooms and a large garage for two cars. The central block is one-storey — with a second light, a spacious entrance area and a living room. The right block is also one-storey and contains a master bedroom, a guest room and a children's play area.

Country life implies outdoor recreation, so the house has a terrace with a barbecue area and two large balconies. The architectural composition is completed by external lighting. The lighting points are located on the roof overhangs and create an atmosphere of comfort at any time of the year.
