Horizon
A house soaring above the groundThe concept of the project refers to the trends of modern Scandinavian architecture, which are dominated by minimalism and geometric shapes and use a combination of materials and textures as decoration — brick, glass, metal, stone.
The configuration of the building is a rectangle elongated horizontally. The house seemed to spread out on the ground, merged with the horizon line to be light and invisible in the environment. The horizontality is emphasized by the flat soaring roof, wide windows, as well as the exterior decoration of Roman brickwork. A bright accent is the white stripe along the perimeter of the facade between the ground and first floors. It visually stretches the building even more and creates the illusion of levitation.

The layout provides for the division of space into several functional zones. On the ground floor there is a public area with a large kitchen-living room, a recreation area with a swimming pool, a terrace and a mini garden, an office, a master bedroom, wardrobes and technical rooms. The first floor is occupied by four private bedrooms with their own bathrooms and dressing rooms. The two-car garage is located in a separate one-storey annex. The architectural and planning feature of the project is an extensive second light in the living room area, an elongated staircase and a mezzanine connecting two sleeping blocks on the first floor.
The first floor of the house is smaller in area than the ground floor. Because of this architectural solution the structure of the building looks lighter and at the same time dynamics appear. The rhythmic appearance is complemented by metal vertical inserts of a noble copper shade. Such a variety of details with an overall minimalistic concept makes the project unique and engaging.
